"A mass in five voices from a collection of masses and canons in the Biblioteca nacional de España. The composer states that it is based on the plainchant of the psalm "in exitu Israel de Aegypto". This is not immediately obvious, but there are elements of the chant in Del Vado's parts, although treated somewhat freely. His main head motif for each movement could be seen as derived from the second half of the chant, and at the "Et incarnatus" section of the Credo he gives the Soprano voice a line that more or less paraphrases the whole chant."
