Latin|German| Sequamini ò socij, ''Zu einem guetten vulen vvein,'' laetamini, uos ebrii, ''vnd lasst uns frish vnd frelich sein.'' Vinum mæstis fert gaudium, ''Vnd macht ein engen secvel vveit,'' mutisque dat eloquium, ''Der ein der singt, der ander schreijt.'' cum bibo semel, bis aut ter ''den edlen safft von reben,'' tunc cano musicaliter, ''o wie ein frelichs laben*).'' Sint bacho grates bibulo, ''Der uns den vvein lest vvachsen,'''' de cocto bibant lupulo, ''die Bëhem und die sachsen,'' alacriter bibamus, ''der vvein ist da zu beshaffen,'' laeti semper vivamus ''bis man uns fuhret schlaffen,'' levate. *) Although used consequently in all voices, this is clearly a misreading, the word doesn't exist, "leben" is implied by the meaning as well as by the rhyme.
