"Stanford's Communion setting, part of his ''Morning, Evening and Communion Service in G major, Op.81'', originally included the following movements: * Kyrie (decalogue responses) * Gospel responses * Credo * Sursum corda * Sanctus * Gloria In common with his other Communion settings, as he was writing for the Book of Common Prayer liturgy, Stanford did not set the Kyrie, Benedictus or Agnus Dei. A few years later, in response to changing liturgical trends, he wrote the ''Benedictus and Agnus Dei in B flat (Charles Villiers Stanford)'' to complement this setting."
