Venus bedeck'd her face in smiles, Apollo lent his lyre; "Music", quoth he, "each care beguiles: Guard her ye tuneful choir". Diana next, with modest grace, Inspires her shape and air; But Fortune left the happy place, Nor would endow the fair.
